Church Situations

It is now several years since fellowship was established with Churches in the area around Siroti in cooperation with the charity ‘Care and Share’. RBC has helped to finance a number of projects to do with water supplies and farming production. Currently a large project is under way with the setting up of a Church Centre providing medical and other services. At the same time a number of conferences have been conducted for training pastors and other workers from a very wide area around.

 

It was from 1989 onwards that groups from RBC travelled to Poland and established links with various Churches in Gdansk, Krakow, and Warsaw, and various types of practical assistance have since been provided. In 1993/4 a new Baptist Seminary, or Bible College, was established at Radosc, SE Warsaw, and fellowship has been maintained with this body ever since, in conjunction with the UK charity ‘Friends of Radosc’.

 

Gustav has been a good friend of RBC for seventeen years. He was pastor of Gdansk Baptist Church when the RBC group visited Poland in 1989, but subsequently had a vision for ministry at Radosc Seminary and became its Director when it was opened in 1993/4. In 2005 he believed that God wanted him back in pastoral ministry and accepted a post at Szczecin (used to be Stettin in Germany before World War II ). He continues to value fellowship with RBC.
